According to Apple, this A14 Bionic chip gains a 40% boost in CPU performance and a 30% improvement in graphics. Apple says that there is a massive boost in performance in the new A14 chip and it is the most advanced apple chip ever made. A14 Bionic consists of 11.8 billion transistors and used 5nm process technology.
The exciting feature in the A14 chip is it includes a new 16-core Neural Engine for increasing the performance of Machine Learning Application. Apple Newsroom states that A14 includes a 16-core Neural Engine that can perform upto 11 trillion operations per second and it also includes second-gen ML accelerators in CPU. So we can imagine this chip is going to take machine learning application into a new level. So this is good news for all machine learning enthusiast and developer.
